Glossary of Terms Item 5

This is Elizabeth aka "Wifey" Wifey is a term I only find myself using when I type. This was taken at the funeral home office one day. As you can see she is working while I am screwing around, which is a normal day for me in the office. On the left you will see an ancient item known as a typewriter. Up until the first of this year, when the state began Electronic Death Certificates, our typewriter was a pretty valuable piece of equipment in our office. All death certificates were typed. There were some third party apps for doing certificates. Now its all done through a standardized state system.
Glossary of Terms Items 2,3,4
Here are 3 of my children:Edward age 9: aka "Ed-boy" aka "The Boy" (Ed-boy is from the cartoon Ed, Edd, and Eddy)
Jessica age 7: aka "Pookie" aka "Chicky"
Bethany age 4: aka "Monkey"
Justine who would have been our third child was stillborn. That is why sometimes you will see me say I have four children.

Glossary of Terms Item 1
This is what you will see me refer to as the Lappy. A well-used Compaq Presario that sits next to my chair in the living room. His name comes from the famous Strongbad Email. His father is Lappy Sr., a Compaq that is way old and I occasionally blow the dust off of in an emergency. I have other gadgets such as my treo and a Nokia 770 tablet, which are as of yet nameless.

A Bit Of An Explanation
Well blogging from my phone has been going pretty good. I have been posting a picture during the day and then later on captioning it at home. I think I could keep this up on a regular basis.
Well I wanted to explain the title of my blog. Other than the obvious connotation to what I do for a living, it goes back to my childhood.
I decided to be a funeral director when I was 22. It wasn't even a career I was curious about as a kid, but there was something that I always wondered about when I was very young. One day sitting in Mom and Dad's car at church waiting to go to the cemetery for some relative who I don't remember, something struck me. If we were all here for the person that died and they were so important that day, why didn't they get to be in the very first car in the procession? What did you have to do or be to get to go in that first car. The Lead Car.
There were a couple of other moments similar to that, but I will save it for another day.

check this guy out!!!!!!
Meet Joe. AKA "The Minion". He has only one thing he has to do everytime he clocks in. Whatever I tell him to do. He does it quite well. As you can see today his job was to put on a suit, break into Roger Waters house and steal his shades. Next week he's gonna paint my house!
