Picked up a Neat Receipts Scanalizer from Staples last night. I saw it and decided to get it. I have been looking for a portable scanner since I got Tabby. This one was 230.00 which I was afraid would be high, but it has met my expectations. It comes with software that helps you keep track of your documents, and receipts, (hence the name). The B&W document scans I have been doing so far are coming out very nice. I have been scanning at 300dpi and saving as a .pdf file. The enclosed software is very slow at converting the scan to .pdf so I have been using Paperport instead. The only thing I am going to change is to get a retractable USB cord for it to make it easier to use in the field.
